Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 24 oz cream cheese softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease springform pan thoroughly.
  • Mix melted butter and cocoa powder.
  • Add sugar and eggs to mixture.
  • Stir in flour and salt.
  • Pour brownie batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake brownie layer for 15 minutes.
  • Beat cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add sugar gradually to cream cheese.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time.
  • Mix in vanilla and sour cream.
  • Pour cheesecake mixture over brownie base.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until set.
  • Cool completely before removing from pan.

Notes

  1. Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth mixing
  2. Don't overbake the brownie base to keep it fudgy
  3. Tap pan gently to remove air bubbles
  4. Run knife around edges to prevent cracking
  5. Chill overnight for best slicing results
