Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 pound shrimp no shell
  • 1/2 pound sausage sliced
  • 1 chicken breast cut in pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Chopped parsley for topping

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a large pan
  • Add sausage and cook until brown
  • Take sausage out and set aside
  • Cook chicken in the same pan
  • Cook until golden, then remove
  • Add onions, garlic, and peppers
  • Cook until soft and smells good
  • Add spices and mix well
  • Add tomatoes and chicken broth
  • Add Worcestershire sauce and stir
  • Let it boil a little bit
  • Add cooked rice into the pan
  • Add sausage and chicken back in
  • Stir everything to mix well
  • Put shrimp on top and cook
  • Cook until shrimp turns pink
  • Sprinkle parsley and serve hot

Notes

  1. Fresh shrimp tastes better than frozen
  2. Worcestershire sauce gives deep flavor
  3. Let rice sit in sauce for flavor
  4. You can make it more or less spicy
  5. Don’t cook shrimp too long—they get tough
