Equipment

  • Baking dish
  • Large bowl
  • Whisk
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring cups
  • Chef Knife

Ingredients

  • 4 Cups Cooked Chicken Shredded
  • 2 Cups Diced Ham
  • 8 Slices Swiss Cheese
  • 1 Can Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Cups Ritz Crackers Crushed
  • 4 Tbsp Melted Butter
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease your large baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Spread the shredded chicken evenly in the pan. Layer the diced ham directly over the chicken pieces.
  • Place the Swiss cheese slices over the meat. Cover the entire surface so the cheese melts evenly.
  • Mix the soup, sour cream, and mustard in a bowl. Pour this mixture over the cheese and meat layers.
  • Crush the crackers into small crumbs in a bag. Mix the crumbs with the melted butter and seasonings.
  • Sprinkle the buttery crumbs over the top of the casserole. Bake for thirty minutes until the sauce is bubbly.

Notes

  • Use a rotisserie chicken for the best flavor and speed.
  • Do not skip the Dijon mustard for that classic taste.
  • Check the oven early to prevent the crackers from burning.
  • Let the dish sit for five minutes before you serve.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon for a bright, fresh finish.
  • Ensure the ham is cut into very small, even cubes.
  • Use full-fat sour cream for the most creamy sauce texture.
