Ingredients
  

  • cups crushed chocolate cookies
  • 5 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Mix crushed cookies with melted butter and sugar.
  • Press the mixture into your tart pan firmly.
  • Make sure to cover the bottom completely.
  • Press it up the sides too.
  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set properly.
  • Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until hot.
  • Don't let it boil over the top.
  • Pour it over the chopped chocolate immediately.
  • Let it sit for 2 minutes undisturbed.
  • Stir until smooth and completely melted.
  • Add butter and vanilla extract now.
  • Mix everything together until glossy and smooth.
  • Heat sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir constantly until it melts and turns golden.
  • Add butter and stir it in quickly.
  • Remove from heat and add cream slowly.
  • Be careful, it will bubble up fast.
  • Stir until smooth and add salt last.
  • Let it cool for 10 minutes.
  • Pour chocolate filling into the prepared crust.
  • Smooth the top with a spatula gently.
  • Drizzle salted caramel on top in swirls.
  • Use a toothpick to create pretty patterns.
  • Refrigerate for at least 3 hours minimum.
