Christmas Puppy Chow Recipe
Christmas time feels warm and magical. Lights shine. Gifts sit under the tree. And we all want something sweet to snack on.
Ingredients
- 9 cups Chex cereal
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- Christmas sprinkles red and green
Instructions
Melt the mix
- Take chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Melt them in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds and mix. Repeat until smooth and creamy.
Add vanilla
- Mix in vanilla extract. Stir well. It adds a warm flavor.
Coat the cereal
- Place Chex cereal in a large bowl. Pour the melted mix over it. Gently stir until all cereal is covered.
Add powdered sugar
- Pour coated cereal in a large zip bag. Add powdered sugar. Shake well. Every piece should turn white and sweet.
Add sprinkles
- Spread on a tray. Add red and green sprinkles for a festive look. Let it cool and enjoy.
Notes
- Do not use too much heat on chocolate.
- Mix slowly, or cereal will break.
- Add more sugar for extra sweet taste.
- Store in a jar to keep it fresh.
