Ingredients

  • 2 large ENGLISH CUCUMBERS
  • 1/2 cup SOUR CREAM
  • 1/2 small RED ONION
  • 2 tbsp WHITE VINEGAR
  • 1 tbsp WHITE SUGAR
  • 2 tbsp FRESH DILL
  • 1/2 tsp GARLIC POWDER
  • 1/2 tsp SALT
  • 1/4 tsp BLACK PEPPER

Instructions

  • Slice the Vegetables. Start by washing your fresh cucumbers. Slice them into thin rounds. Peel the red onion carefully. Slice the onion into very thin half-moons.
  • Make the Dressing. Get your large mixing bowl. Add sour cream and white vinegar. Add sugar and the dry spices. Whisk them until the mix is smooth.
  • Chop the Herbs. Pull the dill off the stems. Chop it into very small pieces. Stir the dill into the creamy dressing.
  • Combine the Ingredients. Add the cucumbers to the bowl. Add the sliced red onions next. Use a spoon to coat them well.
  • Let it Chill. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Place it in the fridge for thirty minutes. This helps the flavors grow stronger.
  • Serve and Enjoy. Give it a quick stir before serving. The cucumbers will release a little juice. This makes the sauce even better.
