Glass Bowl
- 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter
- 2 Tbsp Lime Juice
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Hot Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Cilantro
- 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
Place the saucepan on the stove over low heat. Add the cold sticks of unsalted butter. Let it melt slowly so it does not brown.
Add the finely minced garlic to the melted butter. Stir it gently for one minute. Do not let the garlic turn dark brown.
Pour in the fresh lime juice and hot sauce. Whisk the mixture until the color is even. Keep the heat very low during this part.
Stir in the chopped cilantro and black pepper. Add a pinch of salt to the warm sauce. Taste it to see if it needs more salt.
Turn off the heat once everything is warm. Let the sauce sit for two minutes. This helps the flavors meld together perfectly.
- Use fresh lime juice for the best citrus flavor.
- Keep the heat low to prevent the butter from breaking.
- Mince the garlic very small so it stays soft.
- Whisk constantly to keep the sauce smooth and creamy.
- Add more hot sauce if you want extra spice.
