Equipment

  • Large sauté pan.
  • Sharp Chef Knife
  • Measuring spoons
  • Wooden spoon
  • Vegetable peeler

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Carrots
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley

Instructions

  • Prepare the Carrots: Wash and peel all of your carrots first. Cut them into thick slices on a diagonal.
  • Melt the Butter: Put your pan over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt slowly.
  • Add the Carrots: Place the carrot slices into the warm butter. Stir them so they are all coated well.
  • Season the Mix: Sprinkle in the salt and the black pepper. Grate the fresh ginger over the pan now.
  • Add the Honey: Pour the honey over the carrots. This creates the sticky and sweet glaze.
  • Cook Until Tender: Cover the pan and cook for five minutes. Remove the lid and cook five minutes more.
  • Garnish and Serve: Toss in the chopped parsley at the end. Serve the carrots while they are still hot.

Notes

➔ Use fresh ginger for the very best flavor profile.
➔ Cut carrots into equal sizes for even cooking times.
➔ Do not overcook the carrots to avoid a mushy texture.
➔ Use high quality honey for a richer glaze taste.
➔ Add a splash of orange juice for extra zing.
