Ingredients
  

Crust:

  • 1 ready-made pie crust
  • 1 egg white

Filling:

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup gruyere cheese grated
  • 6 bacon strips cooked and chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives
  • 1 small onion diced and cooked

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Put pie crust in pan.
  • Poke holes in bottom with fork.
  • Put parchment and weights on crust.
  • Bake 15 minutes.
  • Take out weights and paper.
  • Brush with egg white.
  • Bake 5 more minutes.
  • Beat eggs in big bowl.
  • Add cream, milk, salt, pepper, nutmeg.
  • Mix until smooth.
  • Add cheese, bacon, chives, onion.
  • Pour into baked crust.
  • Bake 30-35 minutes until set.
  • Cool 10 minutes before cutting.
