Sharp Chef Knife
- 4 Cups Water
- 3 Large Black Tea Bags
- 4 Large Ripe Peaches
- 1 Tbsp Lime Juice
- 4 Cups Ginger Ale
- 3 Tbsp Honey
- 6 Leaves Fresh Mint
Pour three cups of water into your medium saucepan. Place the pan on your stove. Turn the heat up to high. Bring the liquid to a rolling boil.
Add the black tea bags to the boiling water. Let them boil for exactly one minute. Remove the saucepan from the hot burner. Cover it with a tight lid.
Let the tea bags steep for ten minutes. This makes the flavor strong and bold. Remove the tea bags carefully. Let the liquid cool down completely.
Peel and pit three of your fresh peaches. Chop the fruit into small pieces. Place the peach pieces into your blender container.
Squeeze the fresh lime juice into the blender. Secure the lid tightly. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth.
Pour the cooled tea into your large glass pitcher. Add the smooth peach puree next. Pour in the cold ginger ale slowly. Stir the mixture well.
Add honey to the pitcher to taste. Stir until the honey dissolves fully. Slice your remaining peach into thin wedges. Drop them into the pitcher.
Fill your serving glasses with clean ice cubes. Pour the fresh peach tea over the ice. Garnish each glass with a fresh mint sprig. Serve the drinks immediately.
- Use very ripe peaches for the best sweet flavor.
- Do not over-steep the tea or it tastes bitter.
- Let the hot tea cool before adding the soda.
- Stir the honey thoroughly so it does not settle.
- Add the ginger ale right before serving for bubbles.
