- 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 Tsp Paprika
- 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Cup Chicken Broth
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tsp Black Pepper
Pat the pork dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mix all over the meat. Make sure every side is fully covered.
Heat your skillet over a medium-high flame. Sear the pork on all sides until brown. This step adds so much extra flavor.
Place the seared meat into the slow cooker. Pour the broth and vinegar around the sides. Do not wash off the spices.
Cover the pot with a tight lid. Set it to low heat for eight hours. Let it cook until it is very tender.
Remove the meat and place it on a tray. Shred it into small pieces using two forks. Mix in some cooking juices before serving.
- Use a fatty cut of meat for the best results.
- Do not open the lid while the pork cooks.
- Sear the meat long enough to get a crust.
- Let the pork rest before you start shredding it.
- Add extra salt only after the cooking is finished.
