Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 cucumber diced
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Cook rice according to package directions.
  • Heat large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add ground beef to hot pan.
  • Cook beef until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Drain excess fat from pan.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger.
  • Cook aromatics for 30 seconds.
  • Mix soy sauce and brown sugar.
  • Pour sauce mixture over beef.
  • Add sesame oil and red pepper flakes.
  • Simmer mixture for 3-4 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Prepare fresh vegetables while beef cooks.
  • Serve beef over cooked rice immediately.
