Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 small garlic clove minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

Melt the Butter

  • Place the saucepan on low heat. Add butter and let it melt slowly. Stir it gently so it doesn’t burn.

Add Garlic

  • Once the butter melts, add the minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds. It should smell nice but not brown.

Add Lemon Juice and Zest

  • Pour in lemon juice and add lemon zest. Stir well so the butter and lemon mix together. The sauce will look smooth and shiny.

Season the Sauce

  • Add a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well and taste. Add more lemon juice if you like extra tang.

Add Parsley and Serve

  • Turn off the heat and mix in chopped parsley. Your Lemon Butter Sauce is ready. Pour it over fish, chicken, or pasta and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • Don’t overcook garlic; it can turn bitter.
  • Add a little cream for a richer sauce.
  • Whisk the sauce gently to keep it smooth.
  • Serve the sauce warm for the best taste.
