Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain well.
  • Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef to hot skillet. Season well.
  • Cook beef until browned completely, about 8 minutes.
  • Remove beef from pan. Set aside temporarily.
  • Add butter to same skillet. Melt completely.
  • Add minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds only.
  • Pour heavy cream into skillet. Stir gently.
  • Add onion powder and garlic powder. Mix well.
  • Simmer cream sauce for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Add cheddar cheese gradually. Stir until melted.
  • Add parmesan cheese next. Stir until smooth.
  • Return cooked beef to alfredo sauce. Mix.
  • Add cooked pasta to beef mixture. Toss.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Taste first.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately hot.

Notes

  1. Use freshly grated cheese for better melting and flavor
  2. Don't overcook the garlic to avoid bitter taste
  3. Reserve pasta water to thin sauce if needed
  4. Let cream sauce simmer gently to prevent curdling
  5. Season the beef well while browning for maximum flavor
