- 1 Package Cheese Tortellini
- 1 Cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
- 1/2 Cup Sun-dried Tomatoes
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
- 3 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 Tsp Dried Oregano
- 1/2 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Basil
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
Boil the Tortellini: Fill a large pot with salted water. Bring it to a rolling boil. Add the cheese tortellini. Cook them for three minutes. They should be slightly firm. Drain them and set aside.
Sear the Chicken: Cut the chicken into small bite-sized pieces. Season them with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add the chicken pieces. Cook until they are golden brown. Remove them from the pan.
Make the Sauce Base: Add butter to the same skillet. Sauté the minced garlic for one minute. Pour in the chicken broth. Add the heavy cream slowly. Stir well to combine the liquids.
Simmer the Sauce: Add sun-dried tomatoes and spices. Let the sauce simmer for five minutes. It should start to thicken slightly. Add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts completely.
Combine Everything: Add the cooked chicken back to the pan. Toss in the boiled tortellini. Stir gently to coat everything in sauce. Let it cook for two minutes. This blends the flavors together.
Garnish and Serve: Turn off the heat. Sprinkle fresh basil on top. Add more cheese if you like. Serve it warm and enjoy immediately.
