Take your large mixing bowl first.
Add flour, sugar, and baking powder together.
Add baking soda and salt to the bowl.
Whisk everything together until well combined.
Make sure there are no lumps remaining.
Crack eggs into the medium bowl carefully.
Pour in the buttermilk next to eggs.
Add melted butter to the mixture too.
Whisk everything until smooth and combined well.
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients now.
Stir gently with a wooden spoon.
Don't overmix the batter at all.
Small lumps are perfectly fine to have.
Overmixing makes pancakes tough and chewy.
Place your pan on medium heat now.
Add a small pat of butter.
Let it melt and coat the surface.
The pan should be hot but not smoking.
Pour about one-quarter cup of batter.
Let it cook for two minutes.
Watch for bubbles on the surface.
Flip when bubbles pop and edges look set.
Cook the other side for one minute.
Remove when golden brown and fluffy.
