Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz chocolate liqueur
  • 0.5 oz cream cheese frosting vodka or regular vodka + a tiny bit of cream cheese
  • 0.5 oz cranberry juice for color
  • 0.5 oz half-and-half or heavy cream
  • Ice
  • Red food coloring a few drops
  • Whipped cream for garnish
  • Red velvet cake crumbs for rimming

Instructions

Prepare Your Glass

  • First, get your martini glass. Put red velvet cake crumbs on a small plate. Lightly moisten the rim of the glass. Dip the rim into the crumbs. Twist gently. Set the glass aside.

Combine Ingredients

  • Grab your martini shaker. Add vanilla vodka. Pour in chocolate liqueur. Add cream cheese frosting vodka. Don't forget cranberry juice. Next, add half-and-half. Add a few drops of red food coloring. This makes it vibrant.

Add Ice and Shake

  • Fill the shaker with ice. Put the lid on tight. Shake it well. Shake for about 15-20 seconds. It should be very cold. The outside of the shaker will be frosty.

Strain and Serve

  • Remove the shaker lid. Strain the drink. Pour it into your prepared martini glass. Be careful not to disturb the rim.

Garnish and Enjoy

  • Top with a dollop of whipped cream. You can sprinkle more cake crumbs. A small piece of red velvet cake is fun. Enjoy your beautiful martini!

Notes

  • Use good quality vodka.
  • It makes a difference.
  • Chill your martini glasses beforehand.
  • This keeps the drink cold.
  • For cream cheese frosting vodka, you can infuse your own.
  • Or add a tiny bit of softened cream cheese.
  • Mix it into a small amount of vodka first.
  • Then strain out any lumps.
  • Adjust sweetness to your liking.
  • Add a splash of simple syrup if you want.
  • A little goes a long way.
