- 1 Cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 Cup Whole Milk
- 3 Cloves Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 Tsp Fresh Thyme
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Tsp Salt

Slice the Potatoes: Peel your potatoes first. Slice them into very thin rounds. Make sure they are even.
Make the Sauce: Grab your large bowl. Whisk cream, milk, and garlic. Add your salt and pepper now.
Layer the Potatoes: Grease your baking dish with butter. Place one layer of potatoes on bottom. Overlap them slightly.
Add the Cream: Pour some sauce over the first layer. Sprinkle a little bit of cheese. Repeat these layers.
Cover and Bake: Put foil over the top. Place it in the hot oven. Bake until the potatoes feel soft.
Brown the Top: Remove the foil at the end. Add more cheese on top. Bake until it looks golden brown.
➡️ Slice potatoes very thin so they cook fast and even.
➡️ Use full-fat cream for the best and richest flavor possible.
➡️ Grease the pan well so nothing sticks to the edges.
➡️ Let the dish rest for ten minutes before you serve.
➡️ Add a pinch of cayenne for a tiny spicy kick.
➡️ Fresh herbs always taste better than dried herbs in sauce.
➡️ Do not skip the nutmeg because it adds great depth.
