- 4 big bell peppers
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 garlic cloves chopped
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Heat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cut tops off bell peppers. Take out seeds.
Boil peppers in salt water for 5 minutes. Drain.
Heat oil in pan. Add onion and garlic.
Cook until soft. Add ground beef and stir.
Add rice, tomato sauce, and spices. Mix well.
Cook for 5 minutes. Then turn off heat.
Fill each pepper with beef mix.
Put peppers in baking dish.
Cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
Take off foil. Add cheese on top.
Bake for 10 more minutes. Serve hot.
