Ingredients
  

  • Soy sauce = 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar = 1 tablespoon
  • Mirin sweet rice wine = 1 tablespoon
  • Sake Japanese rice wine = 1 tablespoon
  • Sriracha sauce = 1-2 teaspoons adjust to spice preference
  • Fresh ginger grated = 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic minced = 1 clove
  • Honey or sugar = 1 teaspoon adjust to taste
  • Sesame oil optional, for extra flavor = 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onions chopped, for garnish = optional
  • Sesame seeds for garnish = optional

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, vinegar, mirin, and sake.
  • Add Sriracha, ginger, garlic, honey, and sesame oil.
  • Stir everything well until all ingredients are combined.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust spiciness or sweetness if needed.
  • Let the sauce sit for 15-20 minutes to develop flavor.
  • Stir again before using, and garnish if desired.

Notes

  • Add the ingredients in the right quantities.
  • Cook the sauce on low heat.
  • Add a little cornstarch if you want to thicken it.
