Ingredients
  

  • All-purpose flour = 2 cups
  • Salt = 1 teaspoon
  • Baking powder = 2 teaspoons
  • Baking soda = ¼ teaspoon
  • Cold butter = ¼ cup
  • Buttermilk or milk = ¾ cup

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, and powder.
  • Add cubed butter and mix until combined.
  • Pour in buttermilk, and mix until the dough forms a ball.
  • Flour a surface and pat dough to ½ inch thickness.
  • Cut out biscuits and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8-12 minutes until golden brown on top and bottom.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

    • Do not overcook the biscuits, otherwise they will become hard.
    • Do not overmix the dough, the biscuits will become tough.
    • Serve the biscuits hot to get a fresh taste.
    • Adding cheese or garlic powder will add more flavor.
