- 1/2 cup regular flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup wheat germ
- 1/4 cup flax seeds
Mix the whole wheat flour, regular flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
Add the oats, wheat germ, and flax seeds.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and egg.
Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir just until mixed.
Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat and add butter.
Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle.
