Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta

  • Boil a large pot of water. Add salt generously. Cook linguine according to package. Cook until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water. Drain the pasta.

Prepare the Shrimp

  • Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. This adds flavor.

Sauté Garlic and Butter

  • Melt butter in a large skillet. Use medium heat. Add olive oil. Add minced garlic. Cook for one minute. Do not brown the garlic. It will become bitter.
