Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2-3 Thai chilies sliced
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in wok over high heat.
  • Add garlic and chilies, stir quickly.
  • Add diced chicken to the hot wok.
  • Cook chicken until golden brown outside.
  • Add bell pepper, stir for two minutes.
  • Mix fish sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar.
  • Pour sauce mixture over the chicken.
  • Stir everything together for one minute.
  • Remove wok from heat immediately.
  • Add fresh Thai basil leaves on top.
  • Toss gently until basil wilts slightly.
  • Serve immediately over steamed jasmine rice.

Notes

  1. Regular basil changes the authentic flavor completely.
  2. Keep the wok very hot for proper stir-frying technique.
  3. Use fresh garlic and chilies for the best taste.
